St Eustachius Church Tavistock

When working on historic buildings like St Eusctachius Church very often the result is a repair being carried out with the idea being you cannot see what has been repaired. So it was exciting to be selected to work for the Vandersteen Hall Architects practice to carry out the alterations to the south porch entrance.

This work involved installing a new oak ceiling structure finished off with lime render. We then removed the old wooden entrance doors. Before replacing the frame with a new purpose made oak frame and a new full width electrically operated glass door that is now the main entrance to this wonderful historic building

While installing the new entrance door, Alan was asked to look at long standing leaks in the church roof this resulted in new oak louvre vents being manufactured in our joiners shop and being installed along with new lead roofs and repairs to the lead ridges. All of which solved the long standing problems with leaks.
